An “upscale, casual and quiet” restaurant in the United States has decided to ban kids below 6 years old because their “endless screams at public dinner tables are “the height of being impolite and selfish,” a Yahoo! article notes.
Those of us who have kids know that kids do make occasional scenes in restaurants. Sometimes we could see the look of annoyance in the faces of other customers. We may even feel annoyed in times when we chose to leave the kids at home and the toddler at the next table makes a scene.
In short, the annoyance is there. But is that enough to ban toddlers in restaurants? Even for restaurants which cater to adult clients in a formal, fine dining setting, would the clientele think that this is going too far? Let’s hear what you thik.
