Some Pinoy Entrepreneurs prefer to start a business venture from scratch, setting up all the systems — including the purchasing, marketing, advertising, back office — all by themselves. Some prefer to take a shorter route and start a business on a turn-key basis, with all the systems in place, through franchising. They don’t mind paying a franchise fee and royalties, among other items, for the convenience of a proven business system. Different strokes for different folks.
A franchise is generally a win-win for both the franchisor (the one who grants the franchise) and the franchisee (the one who gets the franchise). The franchisor expands the business by sharing the costs and risks with the franchisee. The franchisee, on the other hand, can focus on running the business because all systems are already in place. The franchisee, especially those in their first business venture, gains invaluable business experience on the field, coupled with trainings and other forms of support from the franchisor.
In the past couple of months, a client had been pushing us to finish some franchising documents. The target is the 9th Filipino Franchise Show 2010. Mark you calendars:
Dates: September 16-19, 2010
Time: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Venue: World Trade Center
As noted by the Association of Filipino Franchisers (AFFI), the 9th Filipino Franchise Show 2010 is a great venue for “aspiring entrepreneurs and seasoned businessmen in search of the right venture, and also for established companies wanting to grow their business through franchising.”
Go to the website of the Association of Filipino Franchisers (AFFI) for more details (click here). See you all at the 9th Filipino Franchise Show 2010.
