Somebody said that she just learned about December 24 being a holiday, which is quite surprising because we already noted this, as early as October of this year, in the post Public Holidays for October, November and December (2007) in the Philippines.
Indeed, we said that there’s a long weekend from 22 – 25 December 2007 (Saturday to Tuesday), as 25 December 2007, Tuesday (Christmas Day) is a regular non-working holiday and the President already declared 24 December 2007 (Monday) as a special non-working holiday.
While we’re at it, maybe it’s best to reiterate that there’s another long weekend from 29 December 2007 – 1 January 2008 (Saturday to Tuesday), as 30 December 2007 (Rizal Day, Sunday) is a regular non-working holiday, 31 December 2007 (Last Day of the Year, Monday) is a special holiday, and 1 January 2008 (New Year’s Day, Tuesday) is a regular non-working holiday.
