List of 2012 Holidays Released by Malacanang

Consistent with the requirement for an issuance by the President to fix national holidays, Malacanang issued Proclamation No. 295, declaring the regular holidays, special (non-working) days and special holidays throughout the Philippines. New Rules on Subcontracting (DO 18-A)

On 14 November 2011, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) issued Department Order No. 18-A, which becomes effective fifteen (15) days after completion of its publication in a newspaper of general circulation. Considering that Department Order 18-A was published on 19 November 2011, it shall take effect on 4 December 2011.

JG Summit in Forbes’ Top 50 Asian Companies

LBC Development Bank under Receivership

The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) announced that it has placed the LBC Development Bank, a unit of the LBC Group, under receivership, pursuant to the 9 September 2011 resolution of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Monetary Board (MB Resolution No. 1354).
